Summit 3CX SIP Trunk Configuration


This article covers the configuration of a Summit SIP trunk on 3CX PBX and the setup of inbound numbers.


Requirements

You will need to have the following

  1. Provided Summit Internet with the IP of your 3CX Instance (This can be found on the dashboard).
  2. The Attached Summit-Internet-IP-Auth.pv file to import.
  3. Conformation from the Summit Internet Service Delivery team your sip trunk has been created and is ready.


Before you configure you SIP Trunk its recommended to run the Firewall Check

  1. Go to Dashboard
  2. Select Firewall
  3. Select Run
 

Adding the Summit Internet SIP Trunk

At this time we do not recommend using the Admin Console to add a Summit Internet SIP Trunk
  1. Select SIP Trunks from the Menu
  2. Select Import Provider
  3. Select the Template you downloaded above using the upload button
  4. Enter the Main Trunk No: Example : +61388141774
  5. Select OK

 




Add Summit Internet voice IP address to allow list

Please ensure that you have allowed the following IP Addresses to the allowed list to avoid any voice traffic being blocked by the 3CX firewall.
103.13.87.32/27 - Summit Internet SYD
103.13.86.32/27 - Summit Internet MEL
  1. Select the Secuity tab
  2. Then IP Backlist option
  3. If not already listed select Add
  4.  Choose Add a range of IP addresses
  5. Input the IP address into Network address (Network ID)
  6. Select /27 Subnet Mask
  7. Action Allow
  8. Add the Description
  9. Select OK





Summit Internet recommended Trunk settings
  1. Ensure that PBX Delivers Audio is selected
  2. Ensure Re-Register Timeout is set to 1800
  3. Ensure Transport Protocol is UDP
  4. Ensure IP Mode is IPV4


Options - Codec Priority

Ensure that the only codec in the list is G.711 A-law

Remove any unwanted codecs by selecting the X on the right hand side

Select OK to return to the SIP Trunks screen
