International global roaming allows you to use your mobile phone while traveling abroad without the need to switch to a local SIM card. You keep your existing number with out the need to purchase a local service.
It provides access to mobile data, calls, and SMS enabling communication with friends, family, and colleagues back home.
Travellers can make and receive calls using their mobile phone plan from home.
They can also send and receive SMS also using their mobile phone plan from home.
There are limits on the activities and these are determined by the roaming plans below.

Steps to Activating International Global Roaming
1. When you arrive in a qualified roaming destination you will receive a welcome SMS with the roaming pack options.
2. You need to Opt-in to the desired roaming pack by sending an SMS to 179.
3. Receives confirmation SMS and can start roaming.
SMS sent to 179 will be toll free and will not incur any end user charges.
The SMS recharge service is available to users both in Australia and users who are roaming.
No reminders will be sent when validity expires, so just remember to add a new one when needed.
