📘 Yealink T73U – Quick Start Guide

🔧 1. What’s in the Box

  • Yealink T73U IP phone
  • Handset & cord
  • Stand
  • Network cable


☎️ 2. Handset Overview

Key components typically include:

  • LCD Color Display – shows status, calls, menus, and soft keys
  • Soft Keys – context‑sensitive buttons under the screen
  • Navigation & OK Key – move through menus and select items
  • Numeric Keypad – dial numbers
  • Mute Key – mute call
  • Speakerphone Key – hands‑free audio
  • Volume Keys – adjust speaker/handset/headset volume
  • Hold / Transfer / Redial Buttons – manage calls efficiently

🔌 3. Setup & Connection

  1. Connect the Handset
    Plug the coiled cord into the handset port on the left side of the phone.

  2. Network Connection

    • Connect the LAN port to your network switch/router (PoE recommended).
    • If not using PoE, connect the power adapter.
  3. The phone will boot automatically and retrieve its configuration (if provisioned).


📞 4. Placing a Call

  1. Pick up the handset or press Speaker or Headset.
  2. Dial the number using the keypad.
  3. Press Send (soft key) or wait for auto-dial.

📥 5. Answering a Call

  • Lift the handset
  • OR press Speaker
  • OR press Headset
  • OR press the on‑screen Answer soft key

🔁 6. Hold, Transfer, & Conference

Hold

  • Press Hold
  • Press Resume to return

Transfer

  1. Press Transfer
  2. Dial destination
  3. Choose:
    • Blind Transfer (immediate)
    • Attended (speak first, then transfer)

Conference

  1. During a call, press Conference
  2. Dial the next participant
  3. Press Conference again to merge

🔊 7. Adjusting Volume

Use the Volume + / – keys to adjust:

  • Handset volume
  • Speakerphone volume
  • Ringtone volume (when idle)

📬 8. Checking Voicemail

Press the Voicemail key.
Follow audio prompts to listen to, save, or delete messages.


⚙️ 9. Navigating the Menu

Use the Navigation keys to move through:

  • Settings
  • Directory
  • History
  • Features
  • Status

The OK button selects items.
